There is a heated discussion we’ve had on whether mobile phones should be brought to school. We have two different opinions.

Forty percent of the students agree with it. Firstly, it is convenient for students to get in touch with their parents and friends. Furthermore, they can search for some important learning materials on the Internet by the phone and store some useful information.

However, sixty percent of the students are against the view. They think the radiation of the phone does harm to their health. In addition, the ringtone of the phone is very annoying, especially in the classroom or in the library, which may affect their studies as well as others’. What’s more, if many students have phones, it’s easy to make them show off and compare with each other.

As far as I’m concerned, students should place their study in the first place and there’s no need for us to use mobile phones. In a word, I don’t think it’s a good idea to bring mobile phones to school.
